3 Common Questions About Flowscreed Micro

1. Is Flowscreed Micro the same as polished concrete?

No. The two are made using different technologies and possess different properties. Polished concrete is a floated floor made of industrial concrete (aggregate, cement, water) subjected to grinding, chemical impregnation and polishing. It is usually several centimeters thick and requires expansion joints to reduce the risk of cracking due to shrinkage of concrete. On the other hand, Flowscreed Micro is a pigmented micro-cement (a mixture of cement and resins) system. It is only a few millimeters thick and is very durable. It does not require dilatation and it will not crack.

2. Is Flowscreed Micro suitable for use in outdoor spaces such as alfresco cafés?

Yes. Because of a special polymer, Flowscreed Micro is resistant to water and UV light which prevents discolouration. It is also highly abrasion resistant and is easy to clean and maintain due to its seamless nature, making it ideal for places with regular foot traffic.

3. How many colours are available? Can a special colour be produced?

Flowscreed Micro is available in 6 standard colours, i.e. Pewter, Luna, Cemento, Antique Grey, Cinnamon, and Latte.

Thanks to the versatility of Colour Pack-C, it is possible to obtain many combinations of colours, with different intensity and shades, depending on the quantity used.
